A Taste of Vino will remain open through the end of the year. New owners, Michael and Margaret will be on hand to answer any of your questions. They will be turning it into an Italian Restaurant. A Taste Vino is located at 821 Burlington Avenue in downtown Western Springs.

  4. Linda-
Good thingyou are not a reporter. You posted this very prematurely without doing any research. Did you know that the first thing on the list of "to do's" when buying a restaurant is applying for a liquor license. Word has it that your Michael and Mary did not pass that test. For shame!

  5. Well blogs are not the same as some forms of journalism. However, I do not just make up these stories. That one was sent out by Tanya and confirmed at a WSBA meeting. And it does prove that deals do fall through.

I have been posting news about the town that I think is beneficial to everyone. My intention is to help the town stay vibrant and the schools and whenever we can help each other I think that is great.

I wish the new owners well and hope we all support the local businesses.

  6. I don't get Anonymous, they seem irritated about something while confirming that Linda reported it correctly; that Mike and Mary were in the process of buying it, but the deal fell through because they didn't pass the liquor lic test.
