I was reading the article about the proposed cross walk on Ogden into Bemis Woods. It was agreed at the meeting this week to have a yellow light that is activated by pedestrians and bikers at Woodland and Ogden so people can safely cross into Bemis Woods. There is still more to the process but it looks like some progress.
I was wondering if you think it is a good idea or bad? Residents on Woodland fear for increased traffic on their street. I was concerned that a yellow light doesn't always stop drivers who are in a hurry but it may make the person crossing have a false sense of safety.
What are your thoughts?
