Wow, a 30% drop in less than 6 months. Wonder if the listing agent priced it wrong or has the market in Western Springs fallen that much since June 2009? Taxes in 2007 were $17,500. Reasonable for a newish house worth $1,490,000?

Sold for 1,250,000 in 2005. What it sold for this year is today's normal. Supply and demand!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Wow again. What were the owners and agent thinking. Sold for $1,250,00 in Mid 2005....prices had fallen around 25% by mid 2009 and the home is priced at close to $1.5M?
ReplyDeleteI think this demonstrates the need for buyers to listen to an experienced Realtor who will give them the straight story on home prices.
I had a friend who priced her home much too high, turned down an "insultingly" low offer, only to accept an even lower offer months later.
