February, 2014 Issue 31
Greetings everyone!
While we are all hibernating inside, safe and warm, the Historical Society has been busy working on plans for 2014. Big projects on the horizon this year include our biennial Preservation Awards, and a May Day Festival the first Sunday in May...stay posted for more details in the coming months.
In the mean time, please mark your calendars for the next lecture in our Adult Education series which is coming up on Wednesday, February 26th. I will be giving a presentation on the "Evolution of Education in Western Springs: 1872 - 2000" at 7 p.m. in the McClure Library. The lecture, which is open to everyone, will cover changes and challenges in education from the first school in La Grange through the turn of the 21st century. Please join us for what is sure to be an interesting and informative evening!
