I have got an excellent idea for you. Today is the annual plant sale on the Tower Green in Western Springs. Every year the Garden Club has this sale. Go get some plants then walk down to the corner of Hillgrove Avenue and Wolf Road. Stop by the new Italian Cafe and have a slice of pizza and some gelatto, get a new accessory at Alixanders and top it off with a wine tasting at Hillgrove Wine Cellars on the corner. Today they will be featuring "The Garden Path", an Australian Shiraz blend. Pick some up to take home-only $14.99 a bottle. Wine tasting from 10:30 to 6pm. Who ever said wine isn't for breakfast? :)
